Two short but wonderful nuggets of information for you today... 

THE HEADPHONE DISCO IS COMING TO 2000TREES!!

"What on earth are you blathering about?" we hear you cry! Well, it'll go a bit like this...

Take a field full of festival goers, arm each of them with a set of wireless headphones, get two separate DJ's to offer completely different soundtracks and watch the funky chaos unfold! A mass of humanity throwing moves, pulling shapes and singing along to what appears to everyone else to be...complete silence. You can either chuck on a headset and get into the groove or stand back and marvel at a load of people dancing and singing to a DJ that only they can hear. Pure genius we thinks!

It'll all be kicking off from the main stage at 11.30pm on Friday 17th July, so you can party long long long into the night! Happy days!

Two thousand Trees Festival

17th & 18th July 2009

Hi-dilly-ho-dilly-neighboreenos! 

Our brains are a little scrambled this week so we thought we'd give you some random 2000trees related thoughts. So in no particular order....

1. This year's Friday fancy dress theme will be cartoon characters.

2. Your favourite new new new band is either The Chapman Family or Babel.

3. By drinking Life Pure water at last years fest, YOU and the other 2000trees goers donated over 5,000 litres of clean drinking water to developing countries.

4. The 2000trees Battle of the Bands finishes up this weekend with the acoustic final tomorrow (Friday) at Frog and the electric final at the 2Pigs on Saturday. See you in Cheltenham!

5. We met a guy the other day with a 2000trees tattoo. It was awesome. But weird.

6. We'll be releasing the final 2000trees line up details early next week.

7. The 2000trees London party at the Slaughtered Lamb is on Friday May 22^nd featuring Jim Lockey, Beans on Toast and Peanut Albinos.

8. The Met Office says the weather is gonna be ace this summer!

9. This year you'll be able to charge your mobile phone using our cool new pedal powered thingymajigs.

10. Festival Coaches are providing services from London to 2000trees and also a shuttle bus to and from Cheltenham train station. Take the coach, cut the carbon!

11. Last week there were lots of little lambs running around the lovely Upcote Farm. And a heron in a tree.

12. With the help of the Maker Green team we achieved a 78% recycling rate in 2008 (up from 66% in 07). Go us! Go us! Go us!
