Thanks, Cider Smiles CD Vol 1 and everything else

Greetings Tree Huggers!

Firstly, please accept our apologies for this hugely delayed mail out. There was an outbreak of post-traumatic stress disorder amongst the organisers due to mud fatigue!

We wanted to say a massive thank you to each and every one of you who turned up despite the rain and made this years 2000 Trees a truly awesome success. You are all legends!!!

We’re loving hearing all your stories about how much fun you had and, not wanting to blow our own trumpets but we are feeling very happy that 2000 Trees sold out in only it’s 2nd year…. We even had to turn people away!

Thanks also goes to all stewards, helpers, family and friends who dragged us through the mud… you know who you are and the festival really couldn’t go on without you guys.

So here’s to next year, we’ll be in touch soon to let you know about some exciting developments in the pipeline and where and when you can get your hands on the 1st tickets for next year. (Because you were all such lovely people we giving preferential treatment/ first refusal to 2008 ticket holders).

2000trees Video!!

Very excitingly, our talented friend Olly Jones has cut a video of this year’s festival. You can see it on the link below. Check it out its awesome! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JVOHOQK5fMU

Greener festival Award

In some further great news we’ve been given the greener festival award amongst such illustrious festivals as Glastonbury, Download and T in the Park. Recipients of the Greener Festival Award are rewarded for their efforts in promoting environmentally friendly music festivals.

Here’s what was said about 2000trees:

‘2000 Trees is a great small festival surrounded by gorgeous countryside and the organisers work hard to keep the festival clean tidy and fun. The Maker Green Team pop up everywhere in their noble crusade to leave no recyclable uncollected and the relaxed friendly crowd seem to make the effort to tidy up after themselves which is a refreshing change. Looking around the floor it is hard to spot any litter and many revellers feel safe to wander barefoot through the site (which was a bit muddy this year!). The organisers are enthusiastic about their efforts to be an eco-friendly gathering and it is inspiring to see many stalls handed over to local suppliers and to organisations promoting environmental messages.’

Take care and we’ll see you in the New Year if not before.

Hello again!

Three words. BRING. IT. ON! Only 72hrs till 2000trees version II. Hoooooooooorah!! Whooooooooooop!!

We’ve been busting our humps to make sure your favourite festival is bigger and better than last year, and we thought we’d get in touch one final time before the clouds part and the party starts! Here are some random thoughts…

FANCY DRESS FRIDAY!

The theme for this year’s Fancy dress is Countries of the World. This is a competition people, and the best dressed will win wondrous prizes (i.e. beer). It’ll be judged in front of the main stage at 7.45pm.

ALL TICKETS SOLD OUT!

That’s right folks. ALL our tickets are now SOLD OUT. This includes Day Tickets, Youth Tickets, Weekend Tickets, Joint Y-Not Tickets and any other ticket you care to mention (Early Entry Permits? Yes, those too.). Bosh and double bosh!

Just to clarify, you will not be able to buy tickets on the door at 2000trees. However, there may be a few left in record stores around the country. Check out the list of stores on our website and give them a call to avoid disappointment.

TWO MORE BANDS!

We are very excited to announce that we’ve just added the brilliant Chris T-T and Johnny Foreigner to our line up. They’ll be replacing Wandan and Slaves to Gravity.

While on the subject of bands, the sixty or so playing this year are extremely varied, so why don’t you spend the next few days listening to their songs on myspace and deciding which are the ones for you?! All the web links are on our line-up page. There will also be a programme (on sale at the festival) packed with all the band related info you could ever need.

FINAL THINGS TO REMEMBER!

Unfortunately, due to reasons too boring to mention, there are no cash machines on site at 2000trees and also glass bottles / containers will not be allowed on site.

So……………..if you’ve got an Early Entry Permit we’ll see you at 4pm on Thursday, if not then we’ll see you from 9.30am on Friday (don’t forget that Frank Turner is playing an intimate and no doubt awesome set opening the festival at midday)! Like Delia Smith might say, let’s be having you!

WEEKEND TICKETS SOLD OUT!!!!!

For those about to rock, we salute you!

STOP THE PRESS!

WOW WOW WOW, in only its second year 2000trees has OFFICIALLY SOLD OUT of Weekend tickets. Happy days!

Every single online ticket has now gone! Hoorah! Panic not, there are still a few remaining tickets available at the record stores listed below but give them a call first to avoid disappointment!

We also have a few day tickets still available both online and on the door but these are strictly limited to 200 and they are already selling like hot cakes.

Further more we have set up a ticket exchange on our forum where you can get rid of unwanted tickets and get your hands those people can no longer use.

It’s shaping up to be an awesome weekend – and we look forward to meeting y’all down the farm. If you recognise us, or even if you don’t, come say hi.

See you down the front!

Cheers
